Lighthouse is a solar powered lighting solution for the walkway to your home. This lamp is a hand-painted resin and plastic sculpture of a lighthouse. Two solar panels absorb sunlight by day and silver-toned reflectors rotate to simulate the real action of a lighthouse once it becomes dark. Also makes a clever accent piece for your garden, patio or porch.
• This lantern makes a great lighting gift for the garden
• Automatically turns on at dusk
• Includes 1 Ni-MH rechargeable battery and on/off switch.
• Measures 5" diameter x 15¼" high.
*Sorry, express shipping and gift wrapping is not available for Large Solar Lighthouse Garden Sculpture.
I don't like to give this product such a low review, but I'm afraid that I have to. I bought this product as a birthday gift for my mom. Soon after she received it, we put it outside in the sun so the sun could charge the batteries in the lighthouse. Well, the lighthouse worked, BUT.. only whenever it wanted to. Now.. we have had some rain come in and lots of sunshine along with it lately, and the lighthouse doesn't even work or light up! Don't know what's wrong? The lighthouse can be in the sun all day long, and in the evening, the light nor the beacon even works!
I have given 7 of these Solar Lighthouses as gifts everyone "loves" them, the light at night is always mentioned and I am asked where I found them. They are a winner. Sun is a must

solar products need 6+ hrs per day of direct sunlight which I don't have. When fully charged this is a great reproduction of a lighthouse and runs for 5+ hours.
but solar products require full sunlight for 6+ hrs per day to work well. When fully charged this is an awesome reproduction and simulates a L.H. perfectly.
With solar products the performance is directly proportional to the amount of direct sun.I have this in a place that gets about 3-4 hr direct sun per day and that's not enough to power it for very long (1.5 hr) When I removed the lamp housing and put it on my car dash for 5-6 hr of direct sunlight it powered up for 5+ hr. It is also light weight, but the drain hole in the tower bottom can be drilled out to accept 1/2" conduit which you can stick into the ground. I may try finding somewhere with more sun, but that's doubtful. Still, attractive and functions as intended: find all day sun for it.
